About the Role
The 3D Facility Designer role requires a highly detail-oriented individual who excels at
learning new skills, efficient communication and executing design tasks in a meticulous,
consistent way.
This position will work alongside PLAE’s sales team and estimators to identify design
tasks and establish timelines. Responsibilities include constructing 3D models of room
layouts, problem solving, project renderings and delivering proposal packages.
The 3D Facility Designer owns the responsibility of producing exceptional visualizations
and continually seeking improved methods of engaging our customers in immersive new
ways. They maintain clean workflows and efficient timelines for the purpose of continuing
to establish PLAE as the industry-leading brand associated with inventive, premium design
in the field of physical performance.
Requirements
Work and communicate with sales to identify design tasks and establish timelines
Continue learning skills and processes within Sketchup and V-ray to elevate renderings while shortening project turnaround times.
Elevate all presentations by using branded slides for each customer
Elevate future presentations by creating micro sites for each customer (built in zoho) + Explore AR/VR for customers who are coming into HQ to place them within their rooms
Continue improving renders by building enviromental graphics within each setting to help further the realism of each project while putting us ahead of the competition
Reduce project turnaround time and overall rendering cost by presenting the customer with
Sketchup exports to nail down the design concepts before procedding with renders using V-ray.
Execute overly detailed sign-off documentation for the customer to sign and for paint to use as paint sheets.
All details from the rack, attachments, storage, etc should be clearly labeled and notated with ARMR colors.
Maintain an asset library of equipment models provided from engineering to ensure all models used within renderings are up to date.
