About the Role
Summary This role will be responsible for the cost accounting of the products we manufacture in a job cost environment.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following: ● Work with the Director of Finance and cross-functionally to create our cost accounting process and related business controls ● Participate in the month-end financial statement close, including preparing product cost and inventory journal entries. Complete account reconciliations after month's end. ● Establish product cost standards, and methods to identify variances, and refine inventory valuation ● Analyze/observe production information and communicate opportunities to improve processes/production flow to manufacturing leadership and the Director of Finance. ● Add value by identifying opportunities to improve the financial information process ● Put controls in place to effectively manage and account for manufacturing inventory and expenses ● Participate in the annual budgeting process for PLAE Manufacturing ● Participate in the periodic forecasting of the income statement and balance sheet for future months ● Perform other duties as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities:
● Google G Suite and Microsoft Excel and/or other analytics software
● Problem-solving/analytical thinking skills
● Experience successfully working in a cross-functional environment, including related organizational skills and attention to detail
● Experience working in a ZOHO software environment is a plus
● Lean Six Sigma Greenbelt exposure is a plus Education and Experience:
● Bachelor’s Degree (or pursuing) in Accounting or Finance
● 5 years work experience preferred, preferably in a related environment
Supervisory Responsibilities
This position has no supervisory responsibilities, but the position will require working with other associates in developing goals and contributing to strategic planning, executing cost reduction, and revenue enhancement processes and projects.

● Single location including our offices, manufacturing floor and cusomter focused showroom
● Occasional warehouse visits.
