About the Role
6-9month contract Mon-Fri 7am-3:30pm
JOB DESCRIPTION:
· Conduct research to optimize and develop new and improved processes for manufacturing
· Conduct tests and monitoring the production process
· Develop standard operating procedures for processes
· Collect and analyze data to create reports, spreadsheets, tables, graphs.
· Collaborate with operations team on projects (MRP implementation, time studies, etc.).
· Communicates findings and proposals to upper management.
· Conducts risk assessments
· Perform other assigned tasks assigned by the direct supervisor
Requirements
SKILL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
· Previous experience in developing processes and recognizing inefficiencies in the production process.
· Previous experience writing standard operating procedures
· Analytical skills for trouble shooting designs not working as planned, asking the right questions and finding the answers that work.
· Mechanical aptitude to assist is problem solving and understanding of processes.
· Advanced math skills to assist in calculating percentages, ratios, duration of time, etc.
· Interpersonal skills that enable one to develop positive working relationships with other employees working within the production process.
· Ability to function with little to guidance on certain tasks and projects.
· Able to manage time and priorities to meet deadlines.
· Excellent grammar and writing skills.
· Advanced working knowledge of WORD, EXCEL, and Power Point
